Employees are eligible to enroll in one of three United HealthCare Insurance plans on the first of the month following 30 days of eligible employment. Employees enrolled in Minnesota Wire’s health insurance pay a portion of the premiums for their own coverage, as well as for any covered dependents. Minnesota Wire contributes a generous portion of the primary high deductible health plan premium.
Group Dental Insurance
Minnesota Wire offers eligible employees and their dependents very affordable dental insurance the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Minnesota Wire contributes a generous portion of the premium cost for the Dental Plan.
Group Vision Insurance
Minnesota Wire’s vision plan covers prescription glasses and contact lenses for their employees and their dependents. This plan is Voluntary and premiums are paid pre-tax by payroll deductions.
Voluntary Long Term and Short Term Insurance
Minnesota Wire offers both Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance at affordable rates. Short Term provides up to 12 weeks of income replacement benefits while the Long Term Disability provides a benefit duration to Age 65 with a 2 year Own-Occupation definition of Disability after a 90 day waiting period.
Accidental and Critical Illness Insurance
Accident and Critical Illness Insurance is available as an optional voluntary benefit and if elected, is paid for at the employee’s expense with pre-tax payroll deductions.
Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance
Minnesota Wire offers its employees Life and AD&D Insurance at the employee’s expense. It is available as an optional voluntary benefit and if elected, is paid for at the employee’s expense with pre-tax payroll deductions.
Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
Minnesota Wire offers both a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and a Health Savings Account (HSA) for reimbursement of qualified medical, dental, vision and dependent care expenses per IRS guidelines. A debit card will be provided for the Health Savings Accounts. These Accounts are funded using Pre-Tax payroll deductions that will reduce your taxable income and thus lowering your taxes while allowing you to accrue tax-preferred dollars for payment of eligible expenses.
You will be eligible to participate in the Minnesota Wire 401k program on the first day of the quarter following your date of hire. Minnesota Wire will match twenty-five cents on the dollar up to five percent of your annual salary. There is a five-year vesting schedule on the company match.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Minnesota Wire offers paid time off for eligible employees following a 90 day probationary period.
